Before ordering this solar kit, it is highly recommended to review all the steps in the DIY Solar Guide. Especially the Design Specifics sections.

Why? Because this solar kit was designed using a simple two or three-row portrait layout, but the best design for your roof likely does not match this layout. For this reason, you should use the Iron Ridge Design Tool to verify/customize the count of which components (especially the rails) are in this solar kit.

The above solar kit is paired with JA Solar JAM54D41-440, 440W panels and APSystems DS3-S (640W) microinverters. This default design has a DC/AC ratio of 1.38. To understand DC/AC ratios and figure out which solar panel and microinverter pairing works best for you, read more here.
